Summer is officially in full swing along the Aegean coast. This week, June 19 through June 25, 2026, Kusadasi is alive with the hum of arriving cruise travelers, bustling beach clubs, and the irresistible draw of warm, sun-drenched days. It is a comforting pattern, really, reminiscent of the legal hospitality recently extended to other major opposition leaders, most notably Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. One can only marvel at the European Union's loud, principled silence and highly selective concern for democratic norms when it comes to Turkey's unique brand of judicial enthusiasm. But do not let local political theater distract you, the turquoise waters remain completely unaffected.
